Mr.
Gollapudy has 20 years of experience in project and program management; planning
and strategy development; systems engineering; and computer architecture and
development of very large-scale IT projects.
At TRW,
Lucent Technologies, and Innolog, Mr. Gollapudy, did the front-end architecture
and conceptual design of a $500 Million Standard Procurement System for
Department of Defense (DoD); did front-end strategic planning, as well as
implementation planning. He provided Program Management support for the
Defense Procurement Payment System ($500 Million project) for Defense Finance
and Accounting Services; provided Program Management and Technical Management
support on a $1 Billion project on a unified suite of Logistics Systems for DoD
under management of Joint Logistics System Command.
At
Concurrent Engineering Research Center, he initiated and spearheaded an
internet-based healthcare system that subsequently resulted in $20 Million
funding for the Center and formation of a spin-off company, Careflow.
At
Honeywell R&D, he conducted research in advanced computer architectures.

vital roles in planning, Urban Power Distribution, Operation, and Maintenance
for over 15 years; Power System Planning, Operations and Protection for 15
years; involved in implementation of many initiatives, such as SCADA
(Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition); served on a number of technical
coordination tasks for the Southern Regional Electricity Board--responsible for
getting an arbitration in favor of APSEB on generation tariffs with NTPC.
Senior
Consultant, Irrigation dept., Govt. of Andhra Pradesh, 1996– current:
associated with settlement of inter-State disputes among the basin States of
Krishna River waters. Served on a number of expert committees on:
recommendations of selection and construction of mini-Hydel Power Plants;

was General Manager of Multimedia Applications Business Unit of Picturtel,
currently part of Polycom; founded, executed and successfully sold the company,
Icast, a multicasting technology development company to First Virtual Inc.

Joel L.
Morrison was appointed Director of the Center for Mapping in October 1998, and
also has faculty appointments in the Department of Geography and the Department
of Civil and Environmental Engineering and Geodetic Science.
Dr.
Morrison earned his B.A. cum laude from Miami University, Oxford, Ohio in June
1962, his MS in Geography from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in June 1964
and his doctorate in Geography-Cartography with a minor in Statistics from the
University of Wisconsin- Madison in January 1968.
Previous to his coming to the Center for Mapping at Ohio State, he was Chief of
the Geography Division of the U.S. Bureau of the Census, with a brief special
assignment to the National Science Foundation in the Geography and Regional
Science Program of the Social, Behavioral, and Economic Directorate. Prior to
service with the Bureau of the Census, Dr. Morrison was a senior administrator
at the U.S. Geological Survey.
At the
Bureau of the Census, Dr. Morrison designed and implemented the first
Cooperative Research and Development Agreements (CRADAs), signed between the
Bureau and private corporations.
Dr.
Morrison has been active in the development of geospatial data standards,
bringing together diverse efforts within the United States to create the Spatial
Data Transfer Standard, and is currently serving as chairman of the Spatial Data
Quality Project for the International Standards Organization. He is the
co-author of a leading college text on Cartography, a book on spatial data
quality, and the editor of two atlases. He has written numerous articles and
papers for professional journals, and has served on the editorial boards of six
journals.
Dr.
Morrison is a former chairman of the Geography Department of the University of
Wisconsin-Madison. He served as President of the International Cartographic
Association, and the American Congress on Surveying and Mapping, and is
currently on the Council of the Association of American Geographers. Dr.
Morrison is an internationally acclaimed leader in the fast developing field of
geo-spatial data.

Dr. Y. V. Ramana Reddy
is a Professor of Computer Science and Director of the Concurrent Engineering
Research Center at West Virginia University. He has worked on a number of
research areas with the central theme of enabling technologies for improvement
of collaborative processes involving widely distributed teams.
The areas
of research include Artificial Intelligence, Knowledge-based Simulation,
Concurrent Engineering, Medical Informatics, Telemedicine, Distance Learning,
and Intelligent Decision Support.
Professor
Reddy’s research was funded by both Government and Industry. The sponsors
included, Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA), Strategic Defense
Initiative (SDI), National Institutes of Health (NIH), National Institute for
Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH), General Electric, Bell Atlantic,
Bellcore, DEC, HP, Hitachi and many other organizations.
During the
last fifteen years, Professor Reddy directed externally supported research
totaling more than U.S.$50 Million.
Professor
Reddy’s research resulted in more than 50 publications. He has been a
keynote/plenary speaker at numerous national and international conferences in
UK, France, Germany, Belgium, Netherlands, Russia, Japan, Thailand, Australia
and India.
